Upcoming surgery

Hooray! Lyla's made it over 10 lbs which is what her doctors were hoping for before surgery. Her heart surgery is scheduled for August 5th! Thanks to everyone already for your prayers, faith, fasting, well wishes, offering of help with the kids etc. It means so much to us! We feel of your love and comfort for our little Lyla.

Some things we look forward to hopefully being gone after her heart is repaired are her continuous sweating, swollen liver, over-circulating too much fluid into her lungs, her being completely exhausted and asleep after finishing a 3 oz bottle, double calorie formula, and occasionally her hands and mouth turning purple or blue! Despite it all she has been our happiest, best baby. For her sake it will be nice for her to be well!

Miniature Golfing

Chris had the day off for the 24th of July Holiday so we decided to try miniature golfing with the kids. We met up with Katherine & Kent and the kids, Mikayla and Grandma Sue. They had a great time! Crew had to make sure his ball went in before he moved onto the next hole while Griffin just put the ball in the hole himself just so he could get it out. Their personalities couldn't be any different!

Chris mission barbeque

Last Monday night we went to a barbeque get-together with some of Chris's buddies from his mission who were in town. It was fun to chat and see everyone again, it's been a while. The kids had a great time playing with all the new little friends while the adults caught up!

Closet disaster

Last Sunday afternoon once again thinking the kids were playing nicely upstairs for twenty minutes together. WRONG! They had emptied our entire closet out into our bedroom. The door wouldn't even barely push open, they had a two or three foot deep pile in front of it Ava said they were playing bakery? What? and then she said to me, "but mom, we were just trying to have fun" It took Chris and I a solid hour to hang everything back up and put it all away.

Our closet was nearly emptied except the stuff hanging that they couldn't reach.

I had been cleaning out our closet the week before so I had bags of cloths to get rid of they dumped out plus they emptied the laundry basket of dirty cloths and mixed it all together, what a giant mess!

Thanksgiving Point Gardens

A couple of weeks ago we enjoyed the morning walking around the gardens at Thanksgiving Point with Katherine and the kids. We walked through the flowers, played in the sand, and then had fun splashing on the water ark at the end. It was a great morning!
