Happy 1st Birthday Griffin and Crew

The boys turned 1 on the 23rd! Happy Birthday! (Ava says "it's the dudes Happy Day") We are so grateful that you are both part of our family and love you each so much!

The boys share their birthday with Grandma Sue!

Crew demolished his cake while Griffin was much more conservative about it. It's funny how their personalities are so very different!

Looking back over this past year--A big THANKS to everyone who has helped us with the boys since they arrived. We could not have done it without so much help from family and friends! I can't thank you enough. We appreciate you all so much!

That was Then

This was the boys 1 year ago.
This is them Now! Quite a lot has changed in a year!

(My cousin Aarin, who had twin boys a couple of weeks ago was borrowing our bassinet so we put the boys in for a picture! They barely all squished in this time)

Big Boy Haircuts

The boys got their first big boy haircuts with the clippers and all. It's funny how a little haircut makes them look so much older!

Hogle Zoo

Last Friday morning we decided to go on an outing to the zoo, so we packed a picnic lunch and headed out. The kids had a great time looking at all the animals! The day was perfect to walk around outside and we all had a fun time!

Griffin would pull himself up to every fence around the cages when we stopped and then I had to pry his hands off to move to the next animal.

Crew threw his binki into the giraffe cage and Ava was so worried that we were leaving it there. I told her it now had to live there but the giraffes wouldn't like it so they wouldn't suck on it. She was satisfied with that after a few minutes because she was really concerned about it staying there.
Ava loved the carousel merry-go-round. She wanted to ride on the "big kitty" and in line she kept saying to me "i'm excited" over and over.

Looks Familiar

This is a picture of Ava from about a year ago at this same time.

and this is where I found the boys this morning! I would love to know the facination with picking toilet paper apart into tiny little shreads!

Griffin is finally crawling! Hooray! We were thinking he wasn't going to crawl before his 1st birthday but he just barely made it. I'm so glad, he was getting so frustrated about not being able to get around anywhere and now he's already a pro at it!

Homemade Fort

Who doesn't love a fort made with the kitchen chairs and any blankets that are laying around. Chris and Ava made a fort in the basement with anything they could find to hold it up. It even has small (very small) entrances to get in and out. She thinks it is the greatest and wants to show anybody who comes to our house!
