Papa's Giant Pumpkins

We've had lots of Halloween fun before Halloween this week. My dad grows giant pumpkins every year and he was carving them tonight so we went over! They are so huge they have to use a saw to cut through them! The boys loved it but Ava wasn't too sure about the loud saw!

Crew was not a fan of being put in the giant pumpkin but Griffin didn't mind it!

Yummy SPOOKS POPCORN!

Caramel Apples

We had the Decker's over to make caramel apples. Ava was so excited for Gracy to come over, she was sad when they had to go home. The apples turned out really yummy and not too healthy by the time you dip them in all the sugar!

Ava absolutely did not want caramel on her apple. I dipped one for her and she started saying take it off, no caramel! Crazy girl, she doesn't realize it's better that way!

The boys watched from their seats, we kept feeding them the m&m's and they loved it!

Little Gym Trunk or Treat

Little Gym had a trunk or treat party. Ava liked the cake walk because she wanted to get the cupcake at the end. There was an enormous amount of people so we didn't stay long and I guess right after we left they set up the trick or treat part, so we missed all the candy! Oh well, there will be plenty more to come!

Devree and Ava had the same costume, they looked so cute! Devree is her cute friend at Little Gym, they love playing together every week!

All the Twins

Monday evening my aunt Shaunae had their annual Halloween costume dinner party. The soup and rolls were so yummy! This is a picture of all the twins in our family. My twin cousins Brittany and Blair, and my cousin Aarin's twin boys Kyson and Talon and then our boys Griffin and Crew!

Halloween Hoopla

Last Saturday morning Reggie and Holli had their Halloween Hoopla! It was fun, they made a maze in their backyard and then at the end were yummy donuts and rootbeer! Ava had a great time playing with all the neighborhood kids! Thanks for inviting us, Ava was old enough to enjoy it this year!

Car Wash

I don't know about anyone else but my kids are terrified of the car wash. I know it's mean to take their picture but it really is ridiculous how scared they get. Ava can tell when we pull in to any car wash and immediately starts crying saying "No like it, No car wash, No, No like it" So, now when the kids are with me we go where we get out of the car and watch it go through the wash instead.

Gardner Village Witches

We took our annual trip to Gardner Village to see the witches but we definately chose the wrong day to go this year. It was so crowded you couldn't even walk with a stroller through all the people. We still had a good time looking at the witches and eating our picnic lunch, but we didn't stay too long before we called it quits!

Griffin is not a fan of the stroller or carseat or anything of the sort. He lasts about one minute before he is crying and arching to get out. What a punk! It makes it so hard to take him anywhere. You would think he would enjoy cruising in the stroller looking around but no way! Crew just kicks his legs up and hangs out watching everything, it would be nice if Griffin caught a hint from him!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Vineyard Pumpkin Patch and walked around the corn fields and then the kids picked out a pumpkin to decorate on the way out!

Everyone picked out a pumpkin to take home. Crew was chewing on the stem of his pumpkin and got sooo sad when we took it away from him. He really loved the pumpkin he got!

"Happy Day" Ava

Ava turned "2" on the 10th. She was so excited for her "Happy Day" as she calls it this year! Chris and I took her to lunch and to Build-A-Bear. She kept saying "yeah, just mom and dad" she really enjoys one on one time herself and us! She had fun making her bear, and of course she chose the bright pink bear with hearts all over, she thinks it's great! Then we had family over for treats and a party in the evening. Thanks everyone for celebrating with us!

I was asking her what she wanted for her birthday and all she kept saying was "candles and sing." So I thought that's easy enough. She was so excited when everyone was singing Happy Birthday to her. She had a big grin and was clapping. It surprised me, I thought for sure she would get shy and funny with all the attention, but no, she was eating it up! It was so cute how excited she was!

A few little funny things about Ava as she turns Two!

--I love her big blue eyes and her blonde curls
--She still loves her bahee (bottle) and her beent (binki)
--Has a funny little bounce when she runs
--Is a mama's girl and wants me to do and get everything for her
--Jabbers and says so many funny words and sentences now
--She loves going to the park, playing outside, nursery, Little Gym, and watching Caillou
--Gets so excited to drive up and down any hills in the car

While I was rocking her to sleep I was thinking about the day she was born and how excited we were to see her little face and for her to finally join our family after what seemed to us like a long wait to become parents! I wish they didn't have to grow up so fast, I want her to stay little forever! I love how innocent she is and that the smallest and simpliest things make her so happy and excited! I am so very grateful to be her mom, she's my little pal! I really do feel like she's a blessing in our lives coming to our family!
