90th B-day Grandpa Hutchings

Grandpa Big Ard (or grandpa "big yard" as the kids call him) turned 90! He is so cute and has always had great advice and stories along with being so supportive, loving and interested in our lives. We love him so much. Happy Birthday!

The boys

Really, do I have to clean this up. The boys locked themselves in the bathroom and by the time I found the key to open the door they had water all over the entire bathroom, running down the walls, the sink overflowing onto an inch of water on the floor, wads of toilet paper everywhere and they were soaking wet but laughing and having the greatest time. I was not happy to say the least but tried to grab my camera get a photo.

They fight almost every day over who gets to wear Ava's pink boots and purple vest. I guess they just want to be like their big sister.

Potty Trained

The morning after we got home from the hospital with the baby Ava decided she wanted to wear her big girl panties. I thought to myself that this couldn't be a worse time, but actually it turned out to be the best timing. She basically potty trained herself. All it took was a couple of little princesses for not having any accidents for a day or two and that was that, it's done just that easy!

Disney On Ice

We got tickets for Shaley and Roman to take the kids to Disney on Ice to entertain them while we were in Salt Lake at the hospital after having Lyla. They had a great time, I wish we could have been there with them!

Lyla Mae

Lyla was born March 10th at 9:00am, weighing 6lbs 14oz and 19" long! We are so grateful that she is as healthy as she was considering her heart defect. She did great and didn't need her surgery right away, and got to come home with us! She has down syndrome which we knew might be a possiblity after finding her heart defect just a couple of months ago. I have felt this incredible bond with her and a great love from the second she was born. She truly is so special to us and I absolutely know that she was sent from our father in heaven to our family for a reason that is part of a bigger picture that we will some day understand! This will be a new adventure for us, taking care of this special little spirit that was sent here to our family! We just love her to pieces, and already couldn't imagine her being any other way! She has already brought such a calm spirit into our home, we are so grateful for her arrival!

Thanks for the cute sign Shaley and the kids made for us when we arrived home.

Thanks to all our family who came up to Salt Lake numerous times to visit us in the hospital and helped take care of everything at home!

The kids just can't get enough of her, they love holding her and are worried at all times about where she is, especially Griffin he is so cute with her and Ava always wants to help feed her!

Lyla is so lucky to have Bree, a first cousin that also has down syndrome. The genetisist said the chances of that are about 1 in 500,000. Lucky girls to grow up together, Bree is so sweet, they must have had some plan in heaven to come to this life together to be little buddies!

Sledding and Snow

What is with the weather in Utah, Thursday it's 55 degrees and then Friday morning we wake up to 6 inches of snow? Aunt Katherine called in the morning to go sledding and play in the snow and of course the kids were excited so we went to try to enjoy more of the Winter weather.
