Westridge Carnival

Monday evening we went over to the carnival at Westridge. Ava had such a great time, she loved it!

Lacey was helping at a booth with a game where you choose a duck and get a prize. Ava wanted to do it over and over and then just hold the "duckies." I think she chose a sucker for a prize at every game she played. She ended up eating five or six of them at least!

Mazie and Ellie with crazy colored hair paint!

The boys even got their first sucker just to keep them quiet! They ate the whole thing and enjoyed every minute of it!

Thanksgiving Point

This morning we went to Thanksgiving Point to go to the Dinosaur Muesum for $2 Tuesday, but when we arrived everybody had the same idea and the line wrapped around the whole building just to get in so we decided no on that and went to the Discovery Gardens instead, which was also packed and we didn't know it was a swimsuit type of play place. So we ended up just walking around and sat by the waterfalls for a bit. It was nice to just be outside!

Ava had fun running up and down the big hills!

Anniversary

Sunday was our 7th Anniversary so Saturday night we went on a little getaway to Park City and stayed the night at Stein Erickson's. We ate at our usual Main Street Pizza and Noodle, which we love, got ice cream and carmel apples and then walked around for a bit. It was a nice evening just to ourselves! Happy Anniversary Chris, I love you tons!

Summer Fun

We have been swimming and to the splash parks a few times this week. There is definately a slight change in the air the last few days. It seems that Fall will be here before we know it! We love Summer, every year it goes by way too fast!

Crew is a crazy man at the pool now. He crawls anywhere not even realizing he's going under and it doesn't bother him in the least, he will find somewhere else the second you put him back down.

Aunt Shay-Shay (as Ava calls Shaley) and Griffin

Griffin has started getting so mad if anyone takes anything away from him. He had a death grip on the chips and Ava wanted one!

Seven Peaks

We took Ava to Seven Peaks for an evening with just mom and dad. We had a fun time even though it was really crowded. I guess everyone is getting their swimming in before school starts next week! I think Ava enjoys being with just the two of us once in a while!

I just love her chubby legs! They have been that way since she was born!

Jump On It

Ava is always nervous to go down the slides but once you take her she likes it for a minute!

Crew-man and Ellie

The boys think they are getting so big! Crew climbs up on everything these days.

Olympics

Chris and I have been staying up way to late watching the Olympics the past week, as i'm sure everyone has. Everything has been too exciting to turn off, so we end up watching until midnight! Go USA!

Little Gym

At the first of the summer cousin Brandt invited Ava to "bring a friend day" at Little Gym and Ava had so much fun that we joined and have kept going with aunt Katherine and cousin Brandt! It's nice for them to get a little exercise, get better at trying new things, and it's something fun that Ava and I get to do together!

Her favorite part of class is playing with the balls and doing bubbles!

They all pull their shirts up and have bubbles on their tummies! I don't know where they came up with wanting that, but they all love it! Brandt has been distrot a couple of times because he has had a one piece outfit on and couldn't easily access his tummy for bubbles!

Getting stamps after class on their hands and feet! Ava thinks that is so great!

Color Me Mine

Last week we went to Color Me Mine to paint pottery. Ava and I each painted a mug! She was interested for a few minutes but then wanted to run around and I was afraid she was going to break something, but we had a good time anyway! I guess she might still be a little too young for a project like this, but she was definately excited to show what she had made to dad!

Our finished product!

Sunday Morning French Toast

Every Sunday morning Ava and I make french toast when the boys go down for their nap. She gets her apron and stool and wants to be my little helper. Her favorite thing is cracking the "eggies" and dumping in the cinnamon. I'm glad she is my little pal!
